Final Thoughts

I am pleased with how all my artifacts have turned out.

If I was a proper designer I would have liked to have designed the buisness cards, sticking with my own criteria but I would have liked to have designed them myself.

The showreel and CV have turned out great. I really like the track I have chosen to go with it.

The track is by a band called “mellowdrone” The song is called “Beautiful Day of their debut album “box”.

I think the making the DVD tin look like a old tape reel was a good idea. It looks much nicer than having a ordinary DVD case!

Finished CV and Buisness cards

Here are some (more) screengrabs of my finished CV and my buisness cards that finally got delivered!

I am pleased with how this CV has turned out. I think the differant “blocked” sections look good and the colour scheme works well!

These are the finisehd buisness cards I got from moo.com. They turned out good as well. They are nice and simple, exactly what I wanted.

CV Design

I wanted to create a coulourful (but not to colourful) showreel. So I decided to design it then worry about the colour scheme! I also wanted to include a photo of myself so the CV would be a little bit differant form the norm!

Here are a few screen grabs from the creating of the CV.

I designed the CV using Adobe Illustrator. I tired Photoshop but I just can’t seem to grasp it! I seperated each section into blocks.

I included the normal inclusions of a CV into mine. I have not done much work experience in my specialized field. This is something I need to start doing after University.

I decorated the CD tin making it look like an old tape reel case.

I thought this would give my showreel case a bit of originality!!!!

I used four exmaples of my work for the showreel.

One is a promotion video for a couple of Portsmouth Universities Halls

Another featured film is a small film I made for my dissertation. The film was entirelly shot using POV (point of view).

Another Showreel

This show reel is an example I found on youtube. It is a short showreel showing the makers camera skills.

He has muted the audio and replaced it with a track. This is what I am going to do for my show reel. All my work is based partly around audio, however I feel showreels with original audio tracks as apposed to having one song played throughout sound quite messy.

Excisting Work

Just to mix things up a bit I thought I would put in a music video a filmed and edited earlier on this year. This will be going onto my showreel. I have two similar videos for the same band. One is a video of the band playing live the other is more of an actual standard music video, with flashbacks etc etc!
